Scenic Rights is the audiovisual coagency of Schavelzon Graham Literary Agency.

 

Gioconda Belli is a Nicaraguan poet and writer. Very active in the Sandinista fight, Belli was persecuted during the dictatorship and she took up exile in Mexico and Costa Rica until, with the triumph of the Sandinist Revolution in 1979, she went back to Nicaragua, where she worked in several positions within the new government until 1994.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION: Belli is a prestigious author awarded with many prizes like the Premio Pluma de Plata, the Premio de Bellas Artes de Francia, the Premio Mariano Fiallos Gil, the Premio Casa de las Américas, the Premio de Poesía Generación del 27, the Premio Internacional de Poesía Ciudad de Melilla, the Premio Biblioteca Breve de Novela, the Premio Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the Premio Hispanoamericano de Novela La Otra Orilla, the Premio al Mérito Literario Internacional Andrés Sabella, and the Premio Eñe. Besides, she was a finalist of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and has received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France and the Medalla de Reconocimiento del Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío. She is a member of the Academia Nicaragüense de la Lengua and of the PEN Club Internacional.
