BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Gonzalo Giner is a bestselling Spanish author with international acclaim. He studied Veterinary Medicine and specialized in industrial livestock farming. In 2004, he realized he could combine his two passions—animals and literature—and became a writer. That same year, he published his first novel, which was already met with considerable success.

RELEVANT INFORMATION
Giner’s most celebrated novel is The Horse Healer (2008), in which he explores the early days of the veterinary profession. It is an international longseller, translated into numerous languages, beloved by readers and praised by critics alike.
He has continued to write historical fiction throughout his career, setting each novel in a different time period. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious Fernando Lara Novel Prize.
