Lide Aguirre is a Spanish writer and journalist. She holds a degree in Law with a specialization in Criminal Sciences and Journalism and worked for several years at Diario Vasco before dedicating herself fully to writing.

She was a finalist for the prestigious Premio Planeta. Her second novel, Los trucos de la bestia, was published two years later and was inspired by a personal experience: an encounter with a stranger in the middle of the street who made her an unusual proposal.
