The truth is even more astonishing—Otto is a time traveler sent from the future to stop her.
Despite his warnings, Luna becomes even more committed to her work. When she discovers the crucial enzyme capable of controlling human longevity, her life changes forever.
Her supervisor, Heitor, driven by envy and desperation to save his own sick daughter, steals part of Luna’s research and has her fired. Suddenly, Luna loses everything: her job, her relationship, and the stability she fought so hard to build. She retreats into her dependence on medication but refuses to surrender.
With Otto’s help, she sabotages Titan’s research program, resulting in the destruction of the project. Heitor retaliates by kidnapping her. Ironically, it is his daughter Isabela—the very person he is trying to save—who helps Luna escape.
