After the death of her daughter and the early release of the man responsible, a woman creates a secret identity to execute criminals who have escaped justice. As she becomes a meticulous killer, she begins a relationship with the inspector leading the investigation to capture her. Her double life moves toward an inevitable collision between love, justice, and revenge.

Renata Robles is a respected obstetrician and the mother of twin daughters whose life is shattered by a family tragedy that exposes the failures of the judicial system. The perpetrator is convicted but regains his freedom after serving a minimal sentence thanks to political connections. For Renata, this marks a point of no return. Guilt over failing to protect her daughter and the certainty that justice has failed once again turn her grief into obsession.

Convinced that the law no longer protects victims, Renata makes a radical decision: to take the place the system has left vacant. Thus, The Avenger is born—a clandestine executioner who hunts down and kills murderers and rapists—like her daughter’s attacker—who have escaped legal punishment. She operates with method and precision: she accepts contracts, sets a high price, and leaves a recognizable signature. Yet behind this cold efficiency is a devastated woman, sustained only by the need to protect Luna, her surviving daughter, and by a guilt that finds no relief.

The investigation to capture The Avenger is assigned to Inspector Antonio Garrido, an obsessive police officer marked by his own past and determined to stop her at any cost. At the same time, Garrido meets Renata Robles outside the case, in a chance encounter that leads to a relationship built on intimacy and trust, completely detached from the investigation. Unknowingly, he begins a romantic relationship with the very woman he is hunting. For Garrido, Renata represents emotional refuge and the possibility of a different life; for Renata, Garrido embodies love, normalcy, and the redemption she no longer believes she deserves. Their bond is doomed from the start: Garrido pursues the woman he loves, and Renata falls in love with the man destined to unmask her.

The story unfolds as a constant game of tension, where every step forward in the investigation threatens to destroy the only space of happiness either of them has. As the murders become increasingly risky and the police net tightens, the past erupts violently: the aggressor who gave birth to The Avenger reappears and kidnaps Luna. Renata confronts him, rescues her daughter, and kills him, closing the cycle of revenge that defined her transformation.

After this, Renata’s identity is exposed. Cornered and facing the man she loves, she understands there is no possible escape. Unable to choose a life with Garrido without betraying what she has become, she decides to disappear before being captured.

In the epilogue, a new crime bearing the same modus operandi suggests that The Avenger was not just one woman, but an idea: an extreme response to a system that continues to fail.
