Salvador Gutiérrez Solís is a Spanish writer, literary critic, and cultural manager, recognized for his extensive body of work spanning contemporary fiction, suspense, and social criticism. In addition to his work as an author, he is a regular contributor to the press, teaches in the Creative Writing Master’s Program at the International University of Valencia, and directs literary festivals such as CordoBlack, the Southern Crime Fiction Festival, among others.
Gutiérrez Solís has received numerous literary accolades, including the Premio Andalucía de la Crítica (2013), the Premio Juan Valera, and the Premio Leonor de Córdoba, as well as mentions in major national competitions and finalist recognitions for awards such as the Premio Nacional de la Crítica and the Premio Fernando Lara de Novela. His work has been translated into several languages. Among his most notable novels is the acclaimed trilogy featuring Inspector Carmen Puerto.
