José Ignacio Scasserra is an Argentine writer, philosophy professor, and academic. He holds a degree in philosophy and is currently pursuing a PhD, and his work emerges from a deep philosophical reflection on subjectivity, ethics, and contemporary human relationships, offering a sharp perspective on current social and emotional tensions.

Scasserra emerged on the literary scene with his first novel Sleeping Saint Joseph, a novel that was awarded the Futurock Novel Prize 2024, an award that promotes new voices in independent fiction in Argentina and Uruguay. In addition to his work as a novelist, Scasserra publishes essays and chronicles in cultural media such as Anfibia, Tierra Roja, and Orsai.
