Iris Iglesias

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Iris Iglesias.

Iris Iglesias Maggio is an author from Buenos Aires. She’s written and directed theatre, as in the case of the plays Los Comediantes del Viejo Fantasía, Las Trapacerías de los Comediantes and Julia, one act drama staged in Teatro San Martin at Buenos Aires. In addition, she has worked as a screenwriter for Channel 9 of Argentina and teaches theater workshops, literary creation and literature in Cultural Centers of Madrid. In 2001 she published El grito de las águilas in the publishing house Botella al Mar. Her last novel is titled Óleo sobre Tabla 24×32 (2015).

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Iris Iglesias was named an Honorary Member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of Unesco. She also founded, alongside the director Oscar Velasco, the Cultural Center of Buenos Aires City. Along with other watershed events of her career, it must be mentioned she won the Second Prize of the Xth Short Stories Contest of Argenta Editorial.
