Gerardo Villadelángel

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Gerardo Villadelángel.

Gerardo Villadelángel is a Mexican writer and editor. He studied literatura at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Sogem Writer’s School and the International Menéndez Pelayo of Santander University in Spain. He was responsible for special editions at the Fondo de Cultura Económica de México and was a lead consultant for the direction and edition of the International Book Fair of Guadalajara in Mexico. He currently coordinates La Jaula Abierta Publishing House, founded by Vicente Leñero, Roger Bartra and himself, apart from working on the collection of the 6 volumes of The Red Book (El libro rojo).

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Gerardo Villadelángel was awarded the Editorial Art of the National Chamber of the Mexican Publishing Industry Award and the “México en sur” Award.

He is the author of The Red Book: Continuation (El libro rojo: Continuación), the sequel to the well-known homonymous part 1. In total, it is a collection that recounts the most important events in Mexico’s recent history between the years 1928 and 1959.
