Anabel Colazo is a Spanish cartoonist, faneditor and illustrator graduated in Fine Arts and considered one of the new emerging voices of the Spanish graphic novel. Since her beginnings in the publishing industry, her works have been very well received by both critics and the public.

Anabel Colazo has written several fanzines for which she has won the Best Fanzine Award at the Comic Fair in Barcelona on two occasions. Her first graphic novel also earned two nominations at the International Comic Fair in Barcelona.
Her graphic novel Don’t Look Back (No Mires Atrás) made the ACDComic’s list of ‘The Essentials’, won the Splash Project Award and was a finalist for the Ignotus Awards, as well as obtaining nominations for other awards such as Best National Scriptwriter Award at Jornadas de Cómic de Avilés, Best National Work at the Zona Cómic-Cegal Awards, Best National Scriptwriter at the XX Edition of Dolmen Editorial Critics’ Awards, Best New Author at the II Edition of Carlos Giménez Awards for ComicCon Madrid, and Future Comic Talent at the I Edition of José Sanchis Grau Awards.
Her novels have also been published internationally, with editions in French and German.
