Cristina Sánchez-Andrade is a writer, literary critic, and translator. She holds degrees in Information Sciences and Law, and combines her work as a novelist with university teaching and collaborations in various media outlets, including La Voz de Galicia and El País.

Sánchez-Andrade has received wide critical acclaim. She was awarded the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize in 2005 and the 17th Setenil Prize for the best short story collection. Her work has been translated into several languages, including English.
