Elisenda Solsona is a Catalan writer and secondary school teacher with degrees in Humanities and Audiovisual Communication, as well as a master’s degree in Screenwriting. Her academic background, combined with creative writing training, has helped consolidate a distinctive narrative voice that blends horror, thriller, science fiction, and fantastical realism.
She has received the Imperdibles Prize 2020 and the Ictineu Prize 2020. Her novel Mammalia was a finalist for the Òmnium Prize 2025 and won both the Ictineu Prize and the 42 Prize for Best Original Science Fiction Work in Catalan.
