Gabriela Wiener is a Peruvian writer, chronicler, poet and journalist based in Spain. She graduated in Linguistics and Literature at the Catholic University of Lima, and a Master’s Degree on Historical Culture and Communication at the University of Barcelona.

She worked for El Comercio newspaper and in the editorial board of the Lateral magazine and as editor-in-chief of magazines like Primera Línea and Marie Claire Spain. She has also written in many important newspapers, like The New York Times, El País, La República, Eldiario.es, Corriere della Sera, Words Without Borders, The White Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Orsai, Esquire, Revue XXI, Clarin, El Universal, El Mercurio and La Vanguardia.

She has published several novels and chronicles. Her texts have been shown in many anthologies, and some of them have been translated into different languages, like English, Italian and French.

Sexografías, one of her most emblematic works, has been highly appraised by several icons of the current literary field, like Rosa Montero and Santiago Roncagliolo. According to them, Gabriela Wiener is a total referent in the contemporary Latin American literature.
