Jordi Sierra i Fabra is the author of many children and young adult literature best-sellers, both in Spain and Latin America since the ´70s. As an expert of pop music, he was one of the founders of radio station Cadena Ser’s program El Gran Musical and later became a music commentator, traveling around the world with groups and artists to write reports on his performances. It is also important to highlight his work as a creator of the legendary youth magazine Super Pop, one of the leading mainstream publications in the history of Spanish journalism. This has also served as the benchmark for millions of readers of all generations. Some of his books have even been adapted to both theater and film.  Among his works, you will also find international rock artists biographies such as John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

He has created a foundation named after himself, one whose main objective is to support and promote young writers at the beginning of their literary careers. The foundation also aims to promote the true pleasures of reading and for it to be regarded as a fundamental tool of knowledge.

Jordi Sierra I Fabra is one of the most awarded Spanish-speaking authors, with more than fifty national and international literary Awards and mentions. Some to highlight are as follows: the National Children and Youth Literature Award, the Gran Angular Award (on three ocasions), the Barco de Vapor de Literatura Juvenil Award, the Edebé Youth Literature Award (also on three occasions), the Ateneo de Sevilla Award, the Cervantes Chico Award for all his works and cultural commitment to the Jordi Sierra I Fabra Foundation in Spain and Colombia, the Gold Medal at the Merit of Fine Arts Ceremony (given to him by the Ministry of Culture) and the LIJ Iberoamerican Award for his works. He has also been selected four times for the White Ravens Award at the Internationale Jugendbibliothek of Munich, has been thrice the Spanish candidate for the Andersen Children and Youth Literature Award and for the Astrid Lindgren Award. Additionally, he has been a finalist for the Planeta Award, among many others.

His books have been translated to many languages including: Korean, German, English, Portuguese, French, Russian, Japanese, Turkish and Greek, among other languages. His webpage receives por then three thousand views per day.
