José María Olmo

José María Olmo is a Spanish journalist known for his work as director of the Investigation section of the Spanish El Confidencial newspaper.
Olmo is particularly noted for his work in the field of investigative journalism, having been involved in the coverage of a number of high-impact stories, including investigations of corruption, politics and finances.
Much of his involvement in investigations entails leaking confidential documentation and analyzing complex information networks to uncover cases of corruption in the public and private sectors.
He has participated in the international investigations of the Panama Papers and the Falciani List. He uncovered the case of El Pequeño Nicolás; the espionage of Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the business transactions of Piqué and Rubiales, and the financial activities of Juan Carlos I in Switzerland, among other scandals.

RELEVANT INFORMATION 
Olmo is the winner of the Journalist of the Year Award granted by the Madrid Press Association for his hard work in the field of information.
In his book King Corp, co-written with David Fernández, Olmo uncovers assets, partners and many other details of the immense economic structure behind King Juan Carlos I that remained hidden until now.
They had exclusive access to bank documents, e-mails and photographs, testimonies from people close to the King Emeritus: that is bankers, businessmen, employees of the Zarzuela Palace, military personnel, members of the secret services, close friends and even former lovers.
