Mª Ángeles López de Celis is a Spanish writer and civil servant. She studied Psychology at the Autonomous University of Madrid and spent thirty-two years working in the Secretariat of five democratic Prime Ministers of Spain.

López de Celis was awarded the Cross of the Order of Civil Merit in 2006. Drawing on her professional experience, her literary work has focused on investigative journalism, delving into the inner workings of political systems—as seen in her book The Ali Baba Syndrome.
