María Eugenia Mayobre is a Venezuelan writer and screenwriter who studied Creative Writing at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Throughout her career, she has combined literary writing with work in screenwriting and communications.
She began her career as a novelist with The Guava Bite (2018), a work that won the First Ediciones B Venezuela Novel Biennial in 2016. Earlier, her screenplay Not Like Mom received First Prize in the Emerson College Annual Screenwriting Competition in 2009.
Her literary work explores themes such as family relationships, identity, and personal conflicts through an intimate perspective that naturally incorporates humor and social commentary.
