Pedro Riera

Pedro Riera studied Information Sciences and, before dedicating himself fully to writing, worked for many years in television, film, and advertising, in production and directing roles. In the late 1990s, he spent two years in Bosnia—an experience that profoundly marked him and inspired his first novels.

As a novelist, he has explored a wide range of genres, though he is particularly well known for his work in children’s and young adult literature. He has also worked as a comic book writer. He is the recipient of the Edebé Award for Young Adult Literature, the France Info Prize (2013), and the City of Málaga Award for Children’s Literature.
