Vicente Ferrer is a Spanish writer and journalist, holding a degree in Journalism and a master’s in Creative Writing from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He has been a writer-in-residence in programs such as the Residència Literària Finestres and Konvent Escriptura, initiatives dedicated to supporting emerging literary voices.
His narrative debut came with Despiece (2026), an autobiographical novel set in 1990s Valencia, in which he addresses the sexual abuse he suffered during his childhood at the hands of a teacher.
His writing is characterized by an intimate and restrained perspective, focused on the reconstruction of memory and the traces of trauma, combining emotional rawness with a sober and reflective prose.
