An intelligence analyst travels with his family in a camper van through Mallorca in an attempt to rebuild their lives, but a massive blackout turns the island into a lawless territory and forces them into a desperate fight for survival. Daniel McClain, a veteran American intelligence analyst, believes he has finally secured his professional stability after closing a major international deal for his company. However, within minutes, everything collapses: he is fired under the pretext of restructuring.
At 54, Daniel returns home defeated. But Patricia, his Mallorcan wife, refuses to let him sink and makes him see that perhaps this blow is, in fact, an opportunity to start over: to write, to embark on a new venture, and to recover lost time with his family. Driven by that idea, they decide to improvise a camper van trip through Mallorca, where the grandparents live, accompanied by their children: Susan, a rebellious university student with blue hair, and Homer, a young man with Down syndrome who is passionate about the Rolling Stones and classic cinema.
What begins as a liberating getaway quickly turns into a nightmare. As soon as they head into the Tramontana mountains, they discover that the entire island has suffered a blackout. With no internet or communications, and increasingly troubling rumors spreading over the radio, the atmosphere becomes suffocating. Within hours, chaos erupts on roads and in cities, while tension also begins to surface within the family.
The situation deteriorates rapidly. At an isolated gas station, an armed group attempts to steal the camper and assault Patricia and Susan. Daniel and Homer respond with violence and narrowly manage to escape. From that moment on, the family is dragged into a constant flight across an unrecognizable Mallorca, where looters, fake civil guards, and escaped prisoners have taken control. Palma becomes a ghost city ruled by chaos, gunfire, and fear. Even everyday acts, such as entering a supermarket to get food, end in shootouts and desperate chases to gather supplies.
In their attempt to reach the grandparents’ house, Daniel discovers how far he is willing to go to protect his loved ones. When attackers try to ambush him, he kills for the first time in his life. Patricia is horrified, but he understands that the rules of the world have changed. And, against all expectations, Homer reveals an unexpected strength: he fights, protects, and holds the group together in the worst moments, combining bravery and humor even amidst the disaster.
When they finally reach the family estate, they discover that the grandparents have already fled the island. Rescued by a community that has managed to survive the disaster, the family finally finds shelter amid global collapse.
