A series of suspicious deaths in the waters off Gran Canaria are disguised as an accident and buried under the influence of a powerful local family. Months later, a newly arrived police officer follows a trail that leads him into a web of silence, corruption, and violence in order to bring the truth to light.

One seemingly perfect night marks the beginning of everything. Ainara and two friends accept an invitation to spend the evening on a yacht with three young men. What appears to be an exclusive night at sea soon reveals its true face: the men drug the women with the intention of assaulting them. The situation spirals out of control when Ainara suffers a fatal reaction. Panicked and determined to avoid the consequences, one of the men kills the others and blows up the boat to stage an accident. The next day, the shipwreck is presented as a tragic mishap, and the case is swiftly closed, shielded by family influence.

Five months later, Sub-Inspector David Juárez arrives in Gran Canaria hoping to start over after a devastating personal loss. But on his very first day, he is confronted with a brutal crime: a young Italian painter is found tortured and murdered in his home. Among his paintings, police discover a series dedicated to Ainara, inspired by photographs found on an underwater camera that appears to have washed ashore.

The discovery suggests that the artist knew details about Ainara’s death and possessed compromising evidence. Alongside officer Itahisa Calderín, Juárez follows a lead that connects the murder to the alleged yacht accident. Ainara’s sister, Daniela, had been in contact with the painter and disappears shortly after his death, reinforcing the suspicion that the shipwreck was never an accident, but the starting point of a chain of violence.

The investigation grows more complex when another young man connected to Daniela is murdered in the same manner. The appearance of a thug linked to a local councilman—the yacht’s owner—confirms the cover-up. Before fleeing, Daniela had received a memory card from the painter containing the original photos and, fearing for her life, hid it without revealing its contents.

When the police finally recover it, the images speak for themselves: drugged girls, rising tension, and an ending that dismantles the official version of the accident. The photos not only expose the truth, but also those who tried to conceal it. With this evidence, the masks fall, the guilty are arrested, and the silence protecting the powerful is finally broken. For Juárez, the case represents not only a professional victory, but also a chance to heal old wounds and begin again.
