Two celebrities with a toxic past take part in the most extreme reality show on television. Forced to collaborate in order to survive, they will discover that their greatest challenge is not winning the game, but facing their own pain—and what they still feel for each other.

The story begins with a viral betrayal. Carrie Brennan, an influencer struggling to consolidate her rise, records herself kissing Misha Zhukov, a celebrity in decline. The video travels the world and acts as a public sentence: she takes off, he sinks.

One year later, they meet again, locked inside the reality show of the moment: ¡1, 2 o 3!. Eight celebrities are abandoned on a hostile island with a single goal: survive and find a two-million-dollar treasure before time runs out. The rules are deliberately vague, and the audience decides which challenges they must face. A show designed for viewers to enjoy other people’s suffering.

Confinement brings out the worst in every contestant: forced alliances, betrayals, violence. In this environment designed to break anyone, Carrie and Misha—forced to coexist with their past—form an alliance as improbable as it is magnetic. The cameras capture how they overcome physical challenges, puzzles, and even an emotional test that forces them to confront their deepest wounds. What begins as a survival strategy turns into a real connection, marked by guilt and desire. However, there is a problem: Misha has decided to kill himself at the end of the reality show as a silent act of revenge against the world that has devoured him. When Carrie discovers this, she must decide whether to try to save him or let him sink.

The external threat has a name: Tate, a contestant who calls himself “Karma” and turns a bunker built by the production company—an hidden installation of the show—into a macabre stage. His violence escalates to torture, definitively breaking the line between game and crime while the producers look the other way. When a hurricane hits the island, the tension explodes. Tate chases them through the jungle, Carrie is injured, and the escape becomes a real fight for survival. The final confrontation ends with Tate dead and Carrie and Misha crawling to the shore, barely conscious, but together. And alive. The reality show is suspended and an international scandal erupts.

Months later, Carrie wins a lawsuit against the production company, Misha begins therapy, and the two meet again. What seemed like a story of destruction becomes an unexpected story of reconstruction and reconciliation: two people marked by fame who, after surviving the most brutal spectacle of their lives, decide to start over far from the cameras… and finally free.

Misha Zhukov Must Die explores how collective hatred and constant exposure can destroy a person, but also how, even in the cruelest environment, it is possible to choose empathy, survival, and rebuilding away from public judgment.

Her style is direct, highly visual, and extremely effective for audiovisual adaptations: she masters dramatic tension, emotional twists, and the creation of relationship dynamics that function as a narrative engine.

With Misha Zhukov Must Die, Myriam M. Lejardi consolidates her move toward a darker tone, exploring fame, mental health, and show-business culture through an explosive blend of emotional thriller, social critique, and high-voltage romantic chemistry.
