Melquíades is willing to help his friend Serafín to conquer young Nieves, who is Higinio’s girlfriend. Benita, Nieves’ sister, suspects Serafín is having an affair with Paca, the fierce, with whom he has five children. In order to confirm her suspicions, she wants Melquíades to tell her the truth, so she tries to seduce him. Therefore, the other title Loose lips sink ships: lips are Melquíades’ and Serafin the sunken ship.
