In a favela in Rio, a young programmer discovers that his video game hides an ancestral power capable of unleashing—or containing—a supernatural force that threatens to destroy everything.

In the favela of Pavãozinho, Radi, a 16-year-old Syrian refugee, struggles to rebuild his life after escaping the war in Aleppo. He lives with his parents and younger sister, survives by doing odd jobs on the beach, and finds refuge in programming Fire and Air, a video game he created himself. His dream is to use it to make a name for himself as a programmer and lift his family out of poverty.

But during a work session, something impossible happens: Radi sees the main character of the game move on its own and communicate with him. It is Yamal, a powerful fire Jinn who had been trapped for centuries by Radi’s ancestors and who can now, from the digital world, manifest in reality to seek revenge. His attacks are not virtual: he starts real fires, destroys his family’s food stand, and sends his servant Hassan to kidnap his friends.

The only one who knows how to stop him is Yamila, a neighbor descended from a mystical poet and the owner of an ancient book containing verses capable of sealing Jinns. Alongside her and his friend Chico, Radi enters a dangerous double battle: in the streets of the neighborhood and inside Fire and Air, where enemies are even more lethal. At his side also appears Malik, an air Jinn who offers power and protection—but with a disturbing condition: to claim his soul.

Rejecting Malik’s promises time and again, Radi clings to his code, his ingenuity, and his faith. He learns techniques to control fear thanks to his psychologist, but the stress escalates when Hassan reappears to free Yamal within the game, dragging everyone into a digital desert. There, programming and fighting become one: every line of code is a strike, every sacred verse a shield.

In the climax, Malik joins the fight, and together they manage to seal Yamal inside a virtual flask forged with “digital iron” and protected by the Eye of Said, an ancestral amulet recreated within the game. The flask is hidden in an impenetrable virtual crypt.

The threat seems contained. Fire and Air becomes a viral success that brings recognition, clients to the family business, and hope to the neighborhood. But Malik still lingers, reminding Radi that the fight is never over. Under the stars of Rio, with Yamila and Chico by his side, he knows he has won a battle… but the next one may be closer than he imagines.
