In a rural house, Enrique and his wife, Susana, spend the summer. On this occasion, accompanied by two interesting guests: Luis, an old boyfriend of Susana, who is a famous composer, and Julian, friend of Enrique, recently abandoned by his wife. In addition, to the group are joined two elderly servants, Bernardo and Roseta, who are awaiting news about the well-being of their nephew, who emigrated many years ago. Everyone is waiting for something, the solution to their problems, some kind of signal and, meanwhile, the summer passes.

 

RELEVANT FACTS: In the story, the dimension of the magic and the dimension of the reason are mixed, giving to the story certain mystical and melancholy nature.

Buero Vallejo is the great theatrical author of the twentieth century. He won the Premio Miguel de Cervantes (1986) and the Premio Nacional de las Letras Españolas (1996).
