This is the story of three brothers. While the two older ones are spending the family’s fortune in the city, the younger one, hunched and uncouth, half-brother of the other two, stays in the family house working at countryside labors. One day, one of the older brothers comes back home and notices a young woman at the village, the same woman the younger brother is secretly in love with.
RELEVANT FACTS: This story is based on a project designed by Arniches, which is inspired by The Beauty and the Beast. The insignificant one has excellent secondary characters and great comic scenes of folkloric inspiration.
Arniches was part of the brilliant Generation of ’98, and comedies were his specialty. Many of his plays were adapted to cinema.
