The Foundation (La Fundación)

Five characters that seem to work for a research center called The Foundation share a space that seems to be a comfortable room with nice views. As the dialogue advances, we discover this situation is nothing but the subjective perception from one of the characters, Tomás. Through his eyes, the spectator discovers that the room is actually a cell, that The Foundation is a prison and that these five characters are prisoners sentenced to death. They all find themselves there because Tomás ratted them out under torture and the feeling of guilt made him lose the sense of reality. Finally, the scene ends up empty, with the room’s luxurious look back, awaiting for its next guests.
