Three women, three vendettas, one man. Amaia, Carolina, and Sofía all have reasons to hate Luis Carrión, but none of them imagines that their paths will converge in a spiral of hatred, madness, and betrayal. Because some truths, once they come to light, can no longer be silenced. An addictive domestic noir in which guilt, motherhood, and the secrets of the past intertwine in a downward spiral from which no one will emerge unscathed.

Amaia Vera seemed to have it all: a company inherited from her parents, a position of power, and an apparently stable marriage. But her life rests on two increasingly separate worlds: the family home, where she desperately tries and fails to become a mother, and the company, where her husband, Luis Carrión, has gradually taken over her place and pushed her aside. Her life is an illusion. Tormented by infertility, her desire for motherhood becomes an obsession that contaminates every aspect of her existence.

She begins to suspect that Luis is cheating on her. To confirm her suspicions, she hires a private investigator. The investigation pulls her out of the safety of her home and forces her to face reality: Luis has built a double life within the company with his young secretary, Carolina del Monte. Hurt but not defeated, Amaia chooses not to confront him immediately. Instead, she watches, waits, and turns the betrayal into a debt that remains to be paid.

But she is not the only woman trapped in Luis’s web.

Years earlier, Luis fired Sofía Rubio, Amaia’s secretary, blaming her for a mistake in a client contract. He held her responsible without evidence and used the incident as justification for her dismissal. The consequences were devastating: left without an income, Sofía’s husband fell into depression and eventually took his own life, leaving her widowed with two children and no resources. Sofía survives as best she can, moving from one job to another until fate brings her back to the source of her downfall: Luis’s company, where she now works as a cleaner.

Since then, her life has been divided between her precarious home and the empty office corridors she cleans each night. Every evening she tidies the office of the man who ruined her life. Hatred accompanies every action. She even plans her revenge—poisoning his whisky—but at the last moment she stops herself. Even so, the resentment never disappears, and Luis’s presence remains a constant reminder of a debt still unpaid.

Meanwhile, Carolina del Monte is facing her own downfall. Trapped in an unequal relationship, she clings to Luis’s promises that he will leave his wife—promises that never materialize. When she becomes pregnant, the situation reaches a breaking point. Luis pressures her to have an abortion, but Carolina decides to keep the baby.

Her only source of support is her mother, Bárbara Argandoña, who is terminally ill and living alone in an apartment marked by decay and illness. Before dying, Bárbara gives Carolina a family notebook. It contains not only memories but also a history of violence: a lineage of women who have used poison as a response to betrayal. This legacy places Carolina within a pattern she does not fully understand but which ultimately shapes her actions.

During one of her final meetings with Luis, away from prying eyes, Carolina gives him a box of chocolates. Soon afterward, Luis dies from poisoning. The Civil Guard launches an investigation and quickly focuses its suspicions on Carolina, although Amaia also emerges as a possible suspect because of the affair and the conflict surrounding it.

As Carolina delves deeper into her mother’s notebook, she comes to understand the full significance of what has happened: she has not acted in isolation but has repeated an inherited pattern, a form of violence passed down from one generation to the next.

After the birth of her daughter, crushed by guilt and the pressure of the investigation, she proves unable to live with that realization. She attempts to take her own life and sets fire to her home. The baby is rescued, but Carolina dies in the blaze.

The case is closed with Carolina identified as the murderer.

Yet the ending introduces one final twist. Amaia ultimately achieves what she could never attain before: motherhood. She gains custody of Luis and Carolina’s daughter. Sofía, for her part, having planned revenge but never carried it out, returns to the company and regains the stability she had lost.

The three stories converge at the same point: there is no complete redemption, only different ways of moving forward.
