The Husband and wife accept, although they are surprised and overwhelmed by the request of the stranger. The next morning, the Lady dies, so the marriage decides to keep the money. However, shortly they receive a man\u2019s visit, who introduce himself as a brother-in-law of the Lady\u2019s maid, and he confesses that the Lady died victim of a panic attack to learn that her brothers-in-law wanted to keep her money. He also knows, through a note from the deceased that the money is in the marriage\u2019s house, and he blackmails them. They accept, destroy the note, and end up reproaching each other for everything that has happened.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT FACTS:\u00a0<\/strong>Frenetic play whose success got it adapted to cinema with Paco Rabal, and it was broadcasted in Spanish Television in the program <em>Primera fila <\/em>in 1964.\r\n\r\nBenavente won the <strong>Nobel Prize in Literature<\/strong> in 1922. He treated all the theatrical genres and developed a broad gallery of human characters. Many of his plays have been taken to cinema with success and many versions for TV have been made. Benavente\u2019s dialogues are excellent, full with irony.
