The prince falls madly in love with her, but she refuses to go with him. Everything changes after the death of Donina, Imperia\u2019s daughter, and now the woman, having lost her sense of reality, follows the prince to achieve her dreams.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT FACTS<\/strong>: It was adapted to cinema in Spain by Rafael Gil in 1950. Estudio 1 adapted it for TV in 1970.\r\n\r\nBenavente won the <strong>Nobel Prize in Literature<\/strong> in 1922. He treated all the theatrical genres and developed a broad gallery of human characters. Many of his plays have been taken to cinema with success and many versions for TV have been made. Benavente\u2019s dialogues are excellent, full with irony.
