The main theme is articulated by Fernando\u2019s story, the protagonist, who comes back home after his father's death. In a letter his father left, he asks him to solve a crime: the murder of a woman that took place years ago. This takes Fernando to a strange mansion, where he meets all these odd strangers, among which lives the beautiful Mariana, with whom he sees himself involved in solving the mysterious disappearance of Eloisa. Suspiciously, Eloisa bears a striking resemblance to Mariana.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT FACTS<\/strong>:\u00a0This is one of Jardiel Poncela\u2019s most popular works. It is regularly staged since its premiere 70 years ago, with great success. It has been acclaimed by the critic in many countries, it is complex and transparent at the same time, intriguing and hilarious, full with exceptional characters. Its popularity resulted in the movie directed by Rafael Gil (1943).\r\n\r\nJardiel Poncela is one of the most important authors of the twentieth century despite his short life, winner of the most prestigious decorations for dramaturgy and literature written in Spanish.
