Elvira wants to marry Fernando, but he loves Carmina, and their love is mutual. Urbano, another neighbor, is also in love with Carmina. The plot\u2019s development leads Fernando to marry Elvira, and Carmina to marry Urbano. The love triangle between Fernando, Carmina and Urbano will not disappear with time and will provoke continuous clashes between the two couples. Years later, this conflict will be reproduced in the generation of their children, who, faced with the rivalry of families, will have to fight for their love.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">RELEVANT DATA:<\/strong>\u00a0This drama has been successfully taken to Television and Cinema; and to Theater in more than 20 countries, reaching Japan. The work crosses the love stories of two families in two generations who have always been neighbors in the same building; some contemporary Montesco and Capulet. It is a work very rich in characters and subplots. The main plot is built on two love triangles: two men pretend to the same woman and two women want the same man. <em>Story of a stairway\u00a0<\/em>can be considered, from the narrative point of view, a precedent of\u00a0neighborhood TV series\u00a0like\u00a0\"Aqu\u00ed no hay quien viva\", \"Cu\u00e9ntame c\u00f3mo pas\u00f3\" and\u00a0\"Amar en tiempos revueltos\", very successful in Spain.\r\n\r\nBuero Vallejo is the great theatrical author of the twentieth century. He won the <strong>Premio Miguel de Cervantes<\/strong> (1986) and the <strong>Premio Nacional de las Letras Espa\u00f1olas<\/strong> (1996).
