In the spring of her youth, Beatrix\u2019 parents make her get married to a broke aristocrat. It is a convenience marriage, organized by their respective high-class families (one of them completely broke). Javier and Beatrix, friends since childhood and pressured by their parents, have to fake their love. Javier is actually in love with a cabaret dancer and Beatrix, with a cubist painter. As they fake being in love, little by little they begin falling for each other.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT FACTS: <\/strong><em>No offence, Beatrix<\/em> received great popular and critical acclaim.\u00a0 Its popularity led to two movies: one directed by Juli\u00e1n Soler (Mexico, 1953); and the other directed by Tulio Demicheli (Mexico-Spain) entitled \u201cCharleston\u201d (1959).\r\n\r\nArniches was part of the brilliant Generation of '98, and comedies were his specialty.
