Throughout the story, Bimba manages, with humour and wit, to get an embassy off the ground without a budget. Carmen, already a teenager, goes through hes first romance and her first heartbreak with a young rebellious student that distributes political pamphlets in secret. The family spends every summer in Mabella, which is in its Golden years. The Posadas\u2019 stay in Spain ends with the wedding of Carmen Martinez Bordi\u00fa and the Duke of C\u00e1diz, apotheosis and the beginning of the end of the Franco regime.\r\n\r\nIn Russia, the Posadas get used to the eternal parades at the Red Square, to the dances at the Kremlin only for women, and to having to turn to the black market to get food. They will get to meet President Nixon, and Dolores will have a bad experience at a Russian hospital, from which she will have to run away in the middle of the winter waring a housecoat.\r\n\r\nAlready in England, the country of protocol and tradition, Bimba has to take a quick course on how to behave in the presence of the Queen. They meet Lady Di, Margaret Thatcher and Prince Charles, whose jokes put them in difficult situations regarding protocol.\r\n\r\nCarmen gets divorced and goes to the embassy to live with her daughters together with Dolores, who is now a punk. Bimba, Luis and Dolores are invited to spend a weekend in the palace of a couple of very important dukes, but they find out that the intention of the family is for Dolores to marry their eccentric and unattractive heir.\r\n\r\nFinally, Dolores marries her Spanish boyfriend, but she forgets to hire the waiters, so that it will be her friends, including Miguel Bos\u00e9 and James Hunt, who will replace them.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT INFORMATION: <\/strong><em>Hoy caviar, ma\u00f1ana sardinas<\/em> (Caviar Today, Sardines Tomorrow) tells the true story of the contretemps of the family of the awarded author of bestsellers Carmen Posadas. The worldwide known characters that appear in the novel, like Queen Elizabeth II, Breznev or Nixon, allows the novel to put the reader in different situations in each chapter, all of them full of humour. This, at the same time, facilitates the adaptation of the novel to an audiovisual format. A mix of memoir, diary, travel book and cookbook, <em>Hoy caviar, ma\u00f1ana sardinas<\/em>\u00a0(Caviar Today, Sardines Tomorrow) has been awarded with the <strong>Premio Sent Sov\u00ed de literatura gastron\u00f3mica<\/strong>.\u00a0Besides, it has been published in Spain and France.\r\n\r\nCarmen Posadas has been awarded with several important recognitions throughout her career. Some are the <strong>Planeta Award, <\/strong>the <strong>Ministerio de Cultura Award, <\/strong>the <strong>Apeles Mentres Award, <\/strong>the <strong>Premio de Cultura de la Comunidad de Madrid, <\/strong>the <strong>ABC Award<\/strong>, the <strong>Premio Cartagena de Novela Hist\u00f3rica, <\/strong>the <strong>Glaukan Award, <\/strong>the <strong>Brazier Award <\/strong>and the <strong>Premio Iberoamericano Periodismo Rey de Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>.
