The search for her sister leads Ivon to discover a terrifying conspiracy that involves everyone from the Border Patrol to the corrupt <em>judicales<\/em> in Juarez.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT INFORMATION:<\/strong> Based on the femicides that occurred in Ciudad Juarez in 1998, <em>Desert Blood <\/em>is the winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Best Lesbian Mystery, as well as one International Latino Book Award for Best English Language Mystery.\r\n\r\nBoth the critics and the audience have highlighted the necessity of bringing to light these sort of events.
