An air of routine and fatality has invaded the consciousness of the people. Among the jumbled crowd, one can hear the lonely buzz of many confused beings adrift.\r\n\r\n<em>The Hive <\/em>is a choral story in which more than two hundred characters take part. Most of them belong to the low-middle class, the run-down small bourgeoisie, whose dreams and future projects are complicated in this postwar environment. None of them stands out as a protagonist, except (subtly) Mart\u00edn Marco, whose adventures link several of the many characters.\r\n\r\nThe plot starts in a caf\u00e9, which will serve as the epicenter from which the thousands of threads of the thousands of stories depart to be lost around the streets of postwar Madrid while following the steps of this or that character: a waiter, a servant, a doctor, a night watchman\u2026\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT INFORMATION: <\/strong>Camilo Jos\u00e9 Cela is one of the most distinguished authors of Hispanic literature. <em>The Hive<\/em> is considered one of his most relevant and valuable stories. It was not published in Spain until 1955 due to the opposition of the Francoist censorship. As it is usual in his work, Cela depicts the Spanish life without mercy, with bitter irony and atrocious humanism. However, every once in a while, a blow of compassion alleviates the rough and sore reality.\r\n\r\nCamilo Jos\u00e9 Cela was awarded with the <strong>Nobel Prize of Literature, <\/strong>the<strong> Premio Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias de las Letras<\/strong>, and the <strong>Premio Cervantes. <\/strong>King Juan Carlos I made him the \u00a0marquis of Iria Flavia for his literary
