Little did she know that it would be up against death. She is a very responsible girl who is helping her friend Loreto overcome bulimia, but her ill-fated future is waiting to give her a bad experience. One night, Luciana and her friends Cinta, Santi and M\u00e1ximo go to Pandora\u2019s\u00a0bar where they meet up with Raul who has just bought ecstasy pills from a dealer known as Poli Garc\u00eda. Each pill has a crescent moon on its surface. Everyone in the group takes one, but Luciana is the only one to have a \u201cbad trip\u201d, loses consciousness and, ultimately, slips into a coma.\r\n\r\nIn hopes to help Luciana recover, her boyfriend and friends go on a quest in the city to find the dealer, Poli Garc\u00eda, ask him what exactly was in the pills, and take this information to the doctors in order to save Luciana\u2019s life.\r\n\r\nThey receive a tip-off, telling them that the dealer will be at Pope\u00b4s nightclub. The police detective Espin\u00f3s, in charge of Luciana\u00b4s case, gets the same information and arrives with back up to snag the dealer as soon as he walks out of the nightclub. As soon as Poli Garc\u00eda sees Luciana\u00b4s group of friends enter the club, he runs away. Eloy, M\u00e1ximo, Santi, Cinta and two police officers follow after him. The dealer, frightened and distraught, slips and falls, hitting his head so hard on the pavement that the pills go flying into the sewer and he dies. They lose hope to figure out what was in the pills. However, something on the floor catches Cinta\u00b4s eye. She goes to show her friends, and in the palm of her hand is the sought-after pill, the one with a half-moon engraved on its surface.\r\n\r\nMeanwhile, in the hospital, Luciana is battling death, and she is losing. However, her will power and the help of the doctors drive her back to consciousness, where she is reunited with her friends and looks back on her dark path towards death.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT DATA<\/strong>: <em>Strawberry Fields<\/em> is inspired on the true stories of two 18-year-olds. Leah Betts, who died from overdose after five days in a coma, and Helen Cousins, who woke up after two months in a coma to say, \u201cdo no dance with death.\u201d The novel is a <em>long-seller<\/em> with over eighty editions surpassing two hundred and fifty thousand copies sold. It is one of the most recommended books in high school today. In 2005 it was adapted to film and became a true box office hit in Spain for viewers of all ages.\r\n\r\nThe topic it addresses is very much present in today\u2019s society and it is told in a way that allows the action to take place in any country. It also has very limited production costs, since there are few locations in which the action occurs.\r\n\r\nJordi Sierra I Fabra has published more than four hundred books, reaching sales figure revenues of up to ten million books sold across the world.\r\n\r\nHis extensive literary production has earned him some of the most important Awards in the sector. To highlight some: <strong>the El Barco de Vapor Award<\/strong>, <strong>Gran Angular Award<\/strong>, the <strong>Anaya Award<\/strong>, the <strong>Ateneo de Sevilla Award<\/strong>, the <strong>Edeb\u00e9 of Children and Young Adult literature Award<\/strong>, given to him on two occasions, the<strong>A la Orilla del Viento de M\u00e9xico Award<\/strong>, the National Children and Young Adult Literature Award, the<strong> Cervantes Chico<\/strong> Award and the <strong>Iberoamerican of Children and Young Adult literature Award<\/strong> for his entire career. His books have been chosen to be a part of, on four occasions the <strong>\u00abWhite ravens\u00bb selection of the Internationale Jugendbibliothek of Munich.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nWhat the critics have said:\r\n\r\n\u201cStrawberry fields seemed to me a novel that was heartbreaking as it was beautiful.
