Their incorporation to the music scene went hand in hand with the different feminist movements in the second half of the 20th century. <em>The Light Shines for Them <\/em>covers the evolution of rock music after the inclusion of women, from the arrival of rock in Argentina in the 1960s to the current days.\r\n\r\nIt starts with the story of friends, girlfriends and groupies of the members of the most successful national bands in the 60s, and the first female musicians who recorded their own songs in the 70s \u2013like Gabriela, Mar\u00eda Rosa Yorio, o Mirtha Defilpo\u2013, precursors of the Argentinian feminism and rock music.\r\n\r\nBut it also takes the audience to the 1980s and 90s, the golden age for those women who started to have a more prominent role in the national rock scene, the media, and the big corporations which finally invested big amounts of money on them. From that moment onwards, rock diversifies in several subgenres and styles, both within the mainstream and the underground music. This is the time when icons like Fabiana Cantilo, Hilda Lizarazu, Celeste Carballo and Patricia Sosa emerge.\r\n\r\n<em>The Light Shines for Them <\/em>gathers the different lives of female musicians, rock journalists, managers, press workers, photographers, technicians and all those other women who fought for their visibility in the music industry.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT DATA:<\/strong> <em>The Light Shines for Them <\/em>is a story never told before, which possesses all the ingredients to become a potential TV series: female-lead stories, based on true events, with well-known icons from the music scene, and the feminist movements.\r\n\r\n\u201cThis story needed to be told.
