The age in which one must accept that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">this is their life, period.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">\r\n\r\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">Stories at Forty (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Cuentos a los cuarenta<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0is a compilation of nine stories. Eight of them narrated by different female voices that share being variant archetypes of the figure of the woman after turning forty.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">\r\n\r\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">Faced with a horizon without stimuli, with a future devoid of them, these characters take refuge in the past, relive and mentally complete unfulfilled desires or experiences that they could not have and that only linger in memory, while analyzing their lives already well underway.<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">\r\n\r\n<strong><span data-contrast=\"none\">RELEVANT DATA<\/span><\/strong><span data-contrast=\"none\"><strong>:<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><em>Stories at Forty<\/em><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0(Cuentos a los cuarenta)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0is a creation of Laura Freixas, a great example of a feminist author in current literature. In\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">this novel<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, Freixas talks about topics like the famous midlife crisis, or the idea that the 40s are the new 30s, all
