In Culiac\u00e1n he befriends \u201cEl Cholo\u201d, a low-profile drug dealer, and rekindles his friendship with \u201cEl Chato\u201d, his cousin that is in the <em>guerrilla<\/em>.\r\n\r\nWhen the baseball team goes on tour to the United States, David meets Janis Joplin, with whom he has a whirlwind affair.
