Mikel, a man obsessed with watching the house from his window, insists Samuel is not the fragile man he pretends to be. Slowly, suspicion begins to consume her.<\/p>\r\n

Mikel eventually reveals Samuel\u2019s past. Years earlier, his pregnant wife Berta died after Doctor Julio Romero dismissed her symptoms as anxiety. Samuel sued the doctor for negligence but lost the case. Shortly afterwards, Julio vanished without a trace. Mikel has always believed Samuel murdered him in revenge.<\/p>\r\n

Samuel and Gala finally confess the truth: after Berta\u2019s death, they kidnapped the doctor and sentenced him to a lifetime of captivity. While Gala helped Julio\u2019s wife and daughter escape his abuse, she and Samuel carried out a silent revenge against the man who had destroyed so many lives.<\/p>\r\n

But the revelation also forces Cay to confront her own past. Years earlier, she poisoned her adoptive father to escape the abuse he inflicted on her, and her mother covered up the crime by staging it as a suicide. Because of this, Cay makes a final decision: she will not call the police. Instead, she chooses to protect the secret and remain with Samuel and Gala.<\/p>\r\n
