Throughout her versatile career, she has proven to be one of the most iconic figures in the media in the recent history of Colombia.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>RELEVANT INFORMATION<\/strong>\r\n\r\nAs a presenter, in 1978 and 1979, she worked on the \"Noticiero 24 Horas\" and won the Award for Best News Presenter on Television from the Colombian Association of Entertainment Journalists both years. Her work led her to appear on the covers of international magazines throughout the 1980s, notably Cosmopolitan and Bazaar in 1984 and 1985, respectively.\r\n\r\nAs a writer and journalist, her career, work, and denunciations of corruption have been featured in media around the world. Her social commitment led her to seek political asylum in the United States in 2010, due to her status as a journalist, facing threats against her life and integrity during the administration of President \u00c1lvaro Uribe V\u00e9lez and the paramilitary squads.\r\n\r\nShe is known for her accusations of corruption against the political class, and her book \"Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar,\" which has been translated into more than fifteen languages, sold millions of copies, and was adapted into a film in 2017 by Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa.
