She started her career as journalist in Puerto Rico at the age of 20, writing social chronicles. She continued her career writing sport articles and working as correspondent in Central America and the Caribbean.\r\n\r\nShe started her literary career at a very early age, influenced by her father, who used to be a TV scriptwriter and humorist. With over a dozen literary works published, Montero earned the respect of the critics and thousands of loyal readers who highly appraise her novels.
