What appears (and disappears) along the way can change your life forever.

The Wrong Path tells the story of Bert Amandale, a successful thriller writer who moves with his family to the French Provence in search of a fresh start after a troubled period in London. Their new life seems peaceful until Bert’s old friend, Chucks Basil—a legendary rock star preparing his long-awaited comeback album after a decade away from the spotlight—settles in a nearby village.

One night, after sharing dinner and drinks, Chucks drives home along a deserted road. Distracted while listening to tracks from his new album, he accidentally runs over a man who suddenly appears in his path. The victim dies in his arms after uttering a few strange and unsettling words.

Terrified of the consequences the accident could have on his career, Chucks flees the scene. Hours later, overwhelmed by guilt, he returns determined to face what has happened—only to discover that the body has vanished.

What initially seems like a tragic accident soon turns into a baffling mystery. Neither the police nor local hospitals have any record of the incident, and nobody appears to know who the missing man was. As increasingly disturbing events begin to unfold, Chucks and Bert find themselves caught in a web of secrets, lies, and unexpected dangers.

Fast-paced, atmospheric, and packed with twists, The Wrong Path is a gripping thriller that explores the consequences of a seemingly accidental mistake and how a single moment can destroy a life—or uncover a hidden truth.
