Ignacio del Moral

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Ignacio del Moral.

Ignacio del Moral is a prolific and awarded Spanish playwright and screenwriter. He is also a professor in several association and universities in Spain, Mexico, Brasil and Chile. He started his theatrical career in 1977 as an actor, but since 1990 he works as screenwriter for cinema and TV. He is also the vice-president of the Asociación de Autoras y Autores de Teatro.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Del Moral has collaborated in some of the most prestigious and awarded stage and screen projects of the Spanish industry. He won the Goya Award for the Best Adapted Screenplay with Tad, The Lost Explorer. He was also nominated in three more occasions with Mondays on the Sun, The Sleeping Voice and Cenizas del cielo. Del Moral has won the Medal of the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos twice, as well as the Egeda Award.

He collaborated as a screenwriter in films that were acclaimed and awarded in festivals such as Málaga, Montreal, Mostra de Valencia, and Nanterre (France). Mondays on the Sun won the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival, and it was selected by the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts to represent Spain in the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

Regarding TV shows, his most outstanding projects are Farmacia de guardia, El comisario, Cuéntame cómo pasó,  Hermanas, and El síndrome de Ulises. 

Ignacio del Moral has published more than 30 plays, which have been translated into more than 10 languages. Many of them have been awarded with the SGAE Award and the Medal of Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos.
