Astrid Gil-Casares is a novelist and scriptwriter. Half Spanish and half French, she received a French education, despite being raised in Madrid. She attended the Union Chrétienne de Saint Chaumond and the French Lyceum. She graduated in Economics and Marketing, and speaks six languages.

Before marrying the president of the Spanish group Ferrovial, she worked for several years in investment banking in Paris and London. After the divorce, she has transformed into a successful scriptwriter and novelist.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Her first novel, Nadie me contó (Nobody Told Me), has some autobiographical passages, and has gathered lots of good critiques among the readers.

Gil-Casares is also the scriptwriter of ¿Qué te juegas? (2019), a Spanish comedy starred by Leticia Dolera, Javier Rey and Amaia Salamanca, which was a great box-office success in Spain.
