David Llorente

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Alrevés. 

Graduated in Hispanic Philology by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, David Llorente is a writer and playwright from Madrid living in Prague.

He published his first novel while he was studying at university, and it was awarded with the II Francisco Umbral Short Novel Award. His second novel got the Ramón J. Sender Narrative Award.

In 2002 he moved to Prague to work as a Spanish language and literature teacher, where he wrote his third novel.
He collaborates regularly with the Fiat Lux magazine, specialized in Noir literature. He directs, since his arrival to Prague, the Spanish theatre group Séptimo miau, who performs a play written by himself every year.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION 

He has been awarded with Dashiell Hammett Award, Silverio Cañada Memorial Award to the best first Noir novel, Valencia Negra Award best novel of the year.

In theatre, he has been awarded with the Special Jury Award for the best theatre school play of Czech Republic at the Thalie Festival.
