Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agent of Editorial LAVA
El Monstruo de Nueve Cabezas (The Nine-Headed Monster) is a collective narrative entity formed by authors from different Spanish-speaking countries. The group is made up of nine writers who explore genres such as horror, science fiction, and weird fiction.
Its members are Maximiliano Barrientos (Bolivia, 1979), author of novels and short stories within the realm of weird fiction; Lucila Grossman (Argentina, 1993), whose work moves across the boundaries of different narrative forms, with a particular focus on women, technology, and digital culture; Lola Ancira (Mexico, 1987), a short story writer whose work explores mental health, death, and society’s margins, and winner of the Laura Méndez National Literature Prize; Giovanna Rivero (Bolivia, 1972), one of Latin America’s most acclaimed authors of horror, science fiction, and Gothic literature; Luis Carlos Barragán (Colombia, 1988), a prominent figure of the new weird movement; Karen Andrea Reyes (Colombia), one of the leading emerging voices in contemporary science fiction, focused on transhumanism and body horror; Mafe Moscoso (Ecuador, 1975), an anthropologist whose writing intertwines ethnography and fiction; Elisenda Solsona (Spain, 1984), a Catalan science fiction and horror writer who reimagines these genres from a female perspective; and Elaine Vilar Madruga (Cuba, 1989), one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Latin American literature, whose work is redefining horror and Gothic fiction through feminist perspectives and has received numerous literary awards.
