Fernando Benzo is a Spanish writer. A graduate in Law, he started his career at the age of 23 when he won the Castilla-La Mancha Award with his literary debut. Since then, he’s had a long trajectory in the literary world having published multiple novels and short stories. He has also delved into the theatre world and the non-fiction genre.

In addition to his literary endeavours, he has served as the Secretary of State for Culture, following years of work in the Ministries of Justice and Interior.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Benzo, particularly known for his noir literature, has received numerous awards throughout his extraordinary career. Notably, he received the Azorín Prize for his thriller The Persecuted (Los perseguidos) and he is also the winner of the Kutxa-Ciudad de Irún Prize and the Ciudad de Majadahonda Prize.
