Francisca Solar

Francisca Solar is a Chilean writer and journalist with postgraduate studies in Criminology, Forensic Psychology and Audiovisual Writing. At the age of 22, she became the youngest Chilean writer to sign an international publishing contract with Penguin Random House in Spain.
She came to international fame for her fan fiction based on the Harry Potter saga, which captured the attention of thousands of fans and led to her worldwide recognition within the fandom.
Solar has participated in book fairs, conferences and literary events both in Chile and abroad. In them, she has shared her experience as a writer, and has discussed the impact of fantasy literature and the “fan fiction phenomenon” in the contemporary literary scene.
In addition to her work as a writer, Francisca Solar has worked in the field of journalism and communication. She has collaborated with various media and participated in projects related to the encouragement of reading and literature.

RELEVANT INFORMATION 
Throughout her career, Solar has received recognition for her contribution to young adult and fantasy literature. She has established herself as one of the most interesting and original voices of her generation in the Spanish-speaking literary sphere.
Her more than fifteen works have been published in numerous countries, translated into five languages, and have more than 100,000 readers around the world.
Her novel La vía Damna (The Damna Way) won the Premio Forestal for the Most Outstanding Chilean Book.
